Well if you looked into the mmos Perfect World owned/made in the west before they sold their North American branch Perfect World Entertainment to Embracer Group, they're very infamous for well... being really money hungry to the point that the mmos they had are made P2W.

Battleborn also seemed to have really bad marketing, I don't think I ever once saw an ad or anything about it anywhere. Only reason I found it at all was because I checked the Xbox store weekly.

I saw that in the window of a gamestop that is the only advertisement I ever saw and it mostly just said it was for ps4... never knew it'd be a pc release too

It is really sad that ToF is plagued by these gacha scam mechanics. Otherwise it would be a pretty decent game.
