Still broken?

Has the BSOD on exit been fixed yet? I see my other post about a month ago is gone, so I'll check in monthly if I have to. I'd like to play, but certainly not to the detriment to my PC.

Just because you can't see the stutter because gaming like this is normal for you so you do not even recognize stuttering anymore does not mean that others have this kind of standard too. Steam Client version has ridiculous stutter and the normal PC client works way, way better.

But I guess it is just my PC (3070, i7-10700, 32 RAM, SSD) and for some unknown reason it is only the steam version which has this insane performance problems because only Ymir knows...

So you're saying if i am gonna try the game, use their own launcher instead of steam then since the performance is way better ?

I was thinking of trying it on the side of the other games i'm progressing slow in atm

Yes. Compared to the steam version the normal client runs better. It has some micro stutters too but they are nothing compared to the stutters of the steam version. Sadly neither version of the game runs perfectly smooth but atleast the normal client version runs better and is bearable

hes talking about the BSOD(blue screen of death) that is obviously being caused by a driver or corrupted windows file since not everyone is getting them.

NOT about stutters, stutters can be fixed by using the standalone version which is exactly the reason why i play on standalone version and not the steam version since i noticed the stutters within 5 minutes of playing the steam version on steam release.

Ave is actually right, drivers and corrupted windows files can cause BSOD.
Also the standalone launcher for ToF is way better than Steam version. but both has one major problem which is the dlss dll file, which you need to download a newer version and replace and it will not crash due to "out of video memory" and also makes it more stable.

So before you insult him, you might want to learn a bit aswell.

Actually the biggest issues with crashes and bsod with this game is rhe DLSS and more specifically the dlss dll file which is a older version.
Download a newer version and replace it in the game folder and boom, no more crashes.

Also, the standalone client with the weblauncher works better and has better performance overall.

BSOD and some of the crashes (a lot of things can make u crash) are caused by the anti-cheat, because it is trying to read memory it has no access to.

Also just to make sure that we are on the same page; most of us doesn't use RTX cards, so DLSS is not the issue. :)

Ah yea fair enough about RTX cards, that is true.
About the anti-cheat it is both yes and no, depending on what antivirus you have and if using an older motherboard that bsod issue can occur more in some games. I have personally never experienced it but i know some who have had that issue before i helped most of them.
It also seem to happen more often on home editions of windows aswell for some weird reason i can't really put my finger on why.

But i'll gladly try to help anyone who has issues with a pc or a game.

ksophon_x64.sys este arquivo responsável pelo anti cheat esta dando tela azul no pc, mesmo vc não usando cheat, dependendo do aplicativo q vc abrir no momento em q o game estiver aberto, acontece o problema, hoje aconteceu 2 vezes , 1 vez abrindo o Jdownloader 2 , a segunda talvez pelo msm problema.

Pra preservar a integridade do meu PC, resolvi parar de jogar o ToF.

ksophon_x64.sys this file responsible for the anti cheat is giving a blue screen on the pc, even if you are not using cheat, depending on the application you open at the moment the game is open, the problem happens, today it happened 2 times, 1 time opening the Jdownloader 2 , the second maybe for the same problem.

To preserve the integrity of my PC, I decided to stop playing ToF.
