The game is online-only, it requires an Internet connection. Unlike in the majority of Steam games, the traffic does not go through the Steam client, Artreborn.exe needs its own network connection. It's quite inconvenient, and it doesn't help that the game just hangs if Artreborn.exe can't access the Internet. I think the developers really should clarify whether or not the game collects any user data (and maybe check the discussion forums for their game once in a while).

There are some issues with the texts. Some awkward sentences, missing characters in names containing non-Latin letters, clipped text captions, truly bizarre slip-ups such as "One of you has betrayed me" or "Schiller" instead of "Schiele" or the description in the screenshot in the linked forum post.

The game is very easy, and I don't have a problem with that, but still there are some balance issues. Choosing tags sometimes becomes guesswork because there are some tags which are questionable or because two of them apply and I have to choose one. At the same time, impressing the audience offers no challenge at all, I'm not even sure why there is a health bar.

I wish there were more detailed descriptions of the paintings. The game won't tell you why Leonardo's The Last Supper or Mona Lisa were innovative works, and I don't think its explanation of why Mona Lisa has no eyebrows is correct. There is a Collection category, that would be a good place for extended descriptions.

It's quite interesting how every one of 35 dialogs with curators comes up with a different angle of what constitutes an artwork. But, even though the curators supposedly express some personal and possibly controversial opinions, the game is trying very hard not to say anything controversial, about abstract art in particular.

It's not explained anywhere what joining an event refers to, so I have no idea how to get the cosmetics locked behind events.

It's somewhat upsetting to have to give this a negative review, this is very close to a game I've always wanted to play, essentially just managing a collection of classical paintings while having access to an in-game encyclopedia.

ArtReborn: Painting Connoisseur is a simulation game where you're playing the role of an art gallery curator. You’ve just taken over the art gallery from your deceased father and it’s in pretty bad shape financially. So you apply for a grant and part of the requirements of getting that grant is to travel the different regions and get the approval other more established curators. The graphics are gorgeous and the gameplay rather straightforward. The paintings are taken from real life art in history so it’s an interesting and stress-free way to learn about art history through a game. It can be quite grindy at times but all in all, a fun casual game for all ages!

贴标签这个玩法只能说见仁见智了，确实是认识艺术的一种方式，但是也容易有误导性的作用（发展成欣赏艺术时只知道标签，而不去发掘其他深层的或更个人的特征与含义），这个就不细说了。不过确实有的标签过于主观和模糊，当下也没有明确的定义（为啥不能像博德之门3那样，鼠标划过的时候马上对名字进行解释呢），可以改进一下

Unfortunately, this seems to be a bit broken. After about 5 - 10 min the game starts to lag very vary badly, making it near unplayable. From what I did experienced this does seem like an interesting game, mostly comprised of collecting historic art pieces and then using them in a variety of mini-games. I think this has potential to be a decent little game but it is marred by technical and quality issues. 3/10

In addition to the lagging issue there are translation, spelling, grammar, and informational errors. Considering I only was able to get about an hour out of the game before giving up on the lagging issue and still found so many quality errors....well, I think that speaks volumes for the care in development of the game. Lastly, while I do not like to spread rumors a more recent review has brought up concerns over the game accessing the internet for unknown reasons. I was not able to confirm this myself, but given some of the other issues with the game does not seem like it is worth the risk. I very much do not recommend. 3/10, just because I do appreciate the premise of the game.

A relaxing art-style casual game. Players are entrusted by their deceased father to run an art museum on the verge of bankruptcy. Only with the approval of 35 curators can they get investment funds.

Storyline and characters: 5/5
After being approved by the curator, each curator will express his understanding of "art".
Usually this kind of spiel can easily become offensive preaching or cliché, but it became my favorite moment in this game-the 35 curators seem to have become real people, using their experience And think about the shining words, leading me into the palace of painting to think about the meaning of art.
There is also a small plot reversal in the middle of the game, about what kind of art gallery the player is running... This is not a spoiler.

Elegant and classical music, well combined with the picture, the whole game process makes people immersed in the artistic atmosphere, very beautiful!
However, on the level settlement screen, the painting will become very blurred, and 1 point will be deducted.

The goal of the game is to find the curator and defeat the curator.
Get hundreds of famous paintings by drawing cards, tag the paintings, and fight in a match-3-like mode. If the tags match, you can kill them with one hit.
In the middle and late stages of the game, the gameplay will appear a bit monotonous and repetitive.

For those who like gaming and art history, Art Reborn: Painting Connoisseur is the perfect game for you as it’s a combination of both. This is a simulation game where you’re the curator of an art gallery that’s not doing well financially. You apply for a grant and go on a journey to collect the stamps of other established curators while learning about their respective perspectives on art. The graphic is cute and beautiful, despite slightly lagging at times. What I like most about this game is the profound knowledge we’ll get about the paintings and the artists. The gameplay itself isn’t complicated and it’s easy to earn in-game money to buy more paintings. Overall, this is an entertaining way to gain more knowledge about history.

This game is refreshing! The topic of Art in general is under represented in games. I like the educational value - presented through timelines, and detail description of the various schools and artist. The information are easy to follow. The tags and puzzles are good fun.
