Dear Esther (IGF 2012 Nominee for multiple category)
Analogue: A Hate Story (visual novel by Christine Love, also 2013 IGF honorable mention)
The Walking Dead (probably the best Telltale game)
The Blackwell Series (http://store.steampowered.com/app/80330)
Primodia (by the same creators as Blackwell)
Gemini Rue (by the same creators as Blackwell)
A New Beginning
If you want the older games I have a few that I seriously recommend:
The Longest Journey + Dreamfall (considered one of the apex of early P&Cs)
Syberia + Syberia 2 (Same)
Really To the Moon is a point and click adventure through and through and it's interesting that people claim TTM was this great new experience when really TTM was just a really well written and really well scored P&C adventure games. If you really loved and enjoy To the Moon then probably you should play more P&C adventures.
Oh... I also suggest Botanicula and Machinarium but those P&Cs are less story and more about the lore and world.
Several of those I had not played and they look interesting. Definitely going to pick up The Walking Dead and a few others when/if they go on sale. I have The Longest Journey, still need to finish the journey though. And Machinarium was cute!
Helmstif, you heretic! Hehe, I might get Dear Esther some day. :)
I can't believe this thread is still getting responses, thank you!!
