Game is very slow, need help

Are you running in windowed or fullscreen? If not, try switching,

All right, we have an experimental alternative build for To the Moon available now, please note that this build doesn't activate the achievement for now.

Here is how to get it:
- In your Steam Library, please right click on To the Moon and click on Properties.
- Click on "Betas" and choose "alternative" from the dropdown menu.
- Click on Close.

Steam should start downloading an update for the game. After the update is downloaded, start the game and please let us know how it works for you.

One tip: If you accidentally click on a wrong language the first time this alternative version starts, you can open the language selection menu again by pressing F7.

(Before I forget to mention it again, this new build is made possible thanks to Ancurio's mkxp engine).

The alternative build is now updated and should hopefully work on newer Windows 10 versions that were incompatible with the alternative build before.

I noticed my DS4 controller was causing poor performance, think Steam had put it in mouse/kb emu profile. I decided to power the controller off and use mouse and keyboard only - smooth as butter from that point. YMMV.
