Pro Cyclist - Serious stamina issues
Does anyone know a fix around this? I am a rider with very high stats (83 mountain etc) but boy is it hard to win a climbing stage with multiple climbs. I always have no stamina left. My stamina and resistance are high 60's so I know thats the issue. How do I improve these stats? Or does that only happen after a decade or so haha

you can't. it's just poor programming. some people here recommend to use the editor to improve these stats, but first of all it's a bug. perhaps there will be an update (which is not so hard to develop in my view) but we don't know.

Think your best bet is to go stageracer/stageracer if going for max mountain, usually that will take 3 potentilal lvl ups and 9 lvls up to for maxing those, then shift to puncher lvl up for higher resistance/hills gains and baradeur for higher stamina/flat should be able to max out your physicanls on a stage racer like this...

Physical on a pure stage racer is around

Stamina
69-73
Resistance
78-82

Alternative two if you prefer higher stamina is to go barradeur/stageracer and increase stageracer pot to around 83 ish...

Then you can have around

Stamina 76-80
Resistance 76-80

But dont think you can get all physicals in by maxing out mountain.

Dont lvl up unless 100% meaning pick very good potential so you dont lvl up until march and sim those first 3 cyanide cups to be in time to get to min 75%

Note picking very good doesnt affect your potential only the pts you get on month change so worth it...

But as nopper mention its bad programming...

Note that having say

85 mountain 75 stamina 75 resistance
vs
75 mountain 85 stamina 85 resistance

The 85 mountain will win if riding defensively.

hey, normally you can modify a save from pro cyclist but only after you had all your upgrade (so when you reach level max). it s not ideal but it s better than nothing

yet another player singing the same refrain,,,pro cyclist is broken, as per usual this game is being sold as full retail, when it is in fact an beta or even an alpha, and take note 95-99% of the visual cosmetics have been completely the same since?, and another user said this...2014 or even before that's what?, a decade....the only change from that is audiably where a few more tunes were added in the update Omfg! what will we get next a game that actually works?, ....Has that even got anything to do with the game?

However iit's our ie, the the players fault for not slaughtering cyanide like they deserve to be, and down voting this broken joke of a product

FYI From what i have witnessed hardly anyone is denying the stamina mechanics are not completely broken, but they ignore this glaring fact,, and pathetically recommend other players use a database.....like are these clowns for real?

its not possible to get high stamina with stage racer first. Testet every variation possible multiple times.

Suggestion for developers: 82 potetial on stamina and resistance whatever you choose. And no random potential.
Remember also to train Flat and Nothern classic as they will improve your stamina and sprint to improve resistance

Same issue. I am in the 80s for MTN, MM and STA, yet the green bar drops like a brick. What is even more annoying I am player pro cyclist mode. I could understand having some control over training in Manager mode, but as a pro cyclist, surly the TRAINER should be dealing with this!

It seems to me much deeper than that, even if you edit the database and max out, the stamina bar still drops off compare to AI riders.

A community manager reacted on my negative review that they are looking into it. Not sure if it's just a generic response though...

it's a generic response unfortunately same feeds back from multiple users on theirs reviews on pro cyclist mode for the last 6/7 weeks and still not updates/fix .....

Nothing wrong with stamina. On Pro Cyclist, I started as stage racer / puncher. Then, week in week out, regular training on 4 items stage races, time trial, puncher and baroudeur and you become an all-rounder that can do anything (apart from sprinting) with good stamina. Within 2 months your 5 up on stamina and if you keep developing it it nears 75-80 after one year.

on Pro Cyclist mode I can only train "Stage Race". When I click on the drop down menu, it shows only "Stage Race"/"Etappenrennen" and thats it... frustrating... anybody else the issue?

That's thankfully not an issue, i can only train in climber discipline from the beginning , to open up other training doctrines, you need to accquire them through your training schedule, ...if you switch to the "weekly" planner mode you will see a number of tokens with one or 2 tokens in your case "Stage racing" will already have some training focus employed a % rating, 50% to your main training doctrine and 20% to the secondary, now there are 2 important points:

To be able to level up in a particular doctrine you must have a minimum of 25% (they increase by week as you spend more of your allotted amount in the respective doctrine, so in your case stage racing will already by at 50% as this is your main chosen focus and will be able to improve this focus when you level up, to get other doctrines, spend tokens consecutively towards it and it will increase when it reaches 25% you will also be able improve in that training doctrine,,
If you want to increase the maximum allowed though (ie increase in potential max rating)
you will need to gain a minimum of 75% in that doctrine, at the start of the game you don't have any doctrines in which you can improve potential, you must spend those tokens i mention each week to slowly increase it's rating.. and thus be able to increase it's "potential" when you gain enough experience to level up, though you can only choose to increase potentional or the selected stats, you can't do both simultanously..p

Now if anybody knows what exactly do the second row of tokens in your planner represent, could someone please explain . i still haven't figured this out...cheers

PS,, the tutorial and guides for training in this game are non existent, so it doesn't surprise me players are completely baffled, though this still does not fix the stamina issues, which are still not right, though not as before when the game was unplayable
