I think it's important to remember this is a demo we're playing, not early access. The demo is relatively small so it's made so there's incentive to replay it with different starting equipment. The full game will be much larger so it's almost ceratin everything will be available to find throughout the world. And the items in the starting area will likely be mostly different than the demo, too.
