the nukes aren't in the starting area, and it requires a max level sword, which requires beating the boss at the end of the demo and not being stopped.

The developer has posted it to their Twitter, saying it's a feature. Other information we have on it is that it requires a max upgraded sword. They have also revealed parrying gravity, thrown buildings, and various other things. They're at Pyro Lith (@LithPyro) on Twitter.
