V.A Proxy
i have a theory
i think most people who keep whinning about "health bar blablablabla game is too unfair" are game journalists. they die once and go to the discussions bar and keep whinning about how trash the game is

Visuals and movement are mostly pretty good. The atmosphere feels nice, the world feels pretty alive despite everything. The combat, however? It sucks. The combos feel clunky and pointless (I'm looking at you, light attack/sword), parry feels way too random because of the lack of feedback and lackluster too because we don't really have like a "punishing move" the likes of going around the guy and giving him a good stabbing in the back like in DS.

no? the game makes it clear whenever we parry, that is, if you're using headphones.
People can't take criticism; and instantly jump to "You're trash" or "Skill issue" like an introvert goober would.

If somebody wants a map or a questmarker It's indeed skill issue.

you make a game that is intended to be hard. both on exploration and fight mechanics. wouldn't it be annoying to see people whining about the game being hard?
It amazes me how people are willing to praise something just because they decided that others didn't understand it. For example, these two: Cafitnitions and Herr Horny, have found each other and are ready to justify shortcomings with all possible reasons. Game journalists want to ruin the game!!! The game is not for you, understand!!! The game is in the demo version and is unknown to anyone except enthusiasts who decided to add it to their wishlist, journalists will not know about it at least until a playable build is released. And while you throw ♥♥♥♥ at other users for justified criticism, coming up with what the developer wants to implement, calling everyone noobs, memes and talking about skill issue, you will remain on a pile of ♥♥♥♥ that you refuse to get off.:resmile::resmile:
Here's what I don't get, its established that S units are fragile, S-105 dies in 3 hits, but S-104 takes an absolute beating before the fight progresses, also its extra ♥♥♥♥ that ♥♥♥♥ like ouroboros, the grappling hook and the nuke just aren't in the demo
I'm more concerned with the insane difficulty spike. S-104 is a fair fight after you learn it, but jumping from the slow robots around the area who you can still easily parry if you have actual brain damage to the dude who murders your ass 3 seconds into the fight is a bit rough. Would probably be good to have some inbetween boss to get you used to the pace of the fight first.

doesn't help that you need to jump as soon as you aggro 104 or you get clapped, although if you manage to maintain the right distance and strafe, he wont ever attack, allowing you to shoot him indefinitely

why would you play this way? it sounds slow and tedious. I was having trouble, turns out i just needed to parry MORE. parrying does damage, and getting in close is adrenaline inducing. Parry enough, and the boss goes down, and your health stays up.

I just happened upon that, since I was using to the drone to get in any amount of damage while I waited for an opening because those parries were falling through too consistently to bother being offensive, he was already at 20% when we fell into that ideal 'idle' range

skill issue or not it would still be better to at least point new players with these skill issues in the general direction of where to go. metaphorically and literally

if a game is only playable by people who already know how to play games like this its bad. It needs some intro before the current stage to ease newer players into it.
so you play dark souls for the first time, die on the first boss and you'll keep saying that "if a game is only playable by people who already know how to play games like this its bad", that's pretty much a skill issue. your point makes no sense.
Yeah Dark Souls is absolute trash, and this is meant to be character action, not soulslike. I have a bottom 20% reaction time according to human benchmark, and reaction time is genetic, and this is during my prime years of life, so it is only gonna get slower. So people should just be forced to be unable to play due to unlucky genetics? If you have cancer, you want to not waste any of your life, so if you can learn faster by just being told rather than wasting time learning yourself, you should just be told directly and save time. I played Rocket League over 3000 hours, but only because there is an abundance of information about how to play optimally.
I love the final song boss of Drakengard 3, and spent 49 hours to beat it, gladly, and I love Dirt Rally 2.0 where one slight mistake can ruin a long rally stage in ridiculously over powered group B rally cars, but not even being told that holding parry blocks and other basic information before fighting Sin is just bad, especially when you have to keep climbing the building to try again.
