When do people play on this like what time are the servers most active? Friday night? week-ends?
Dude, they say shop in game is not longer working... that does not mean the game will be shut down... so ?
Just because a game is no longer sold or advertised doesn't mean it is ever removed from your library, that almost never happens unless there's a serious legal reason for it.
The publisher just clearly no longer wants to offer any official support or answer any tech questions about it, so by pulling it from the store they can just answer any questions with the game is no longer being offered.
But anyone that owns it already can still play, it connects peer to peer, you just won't have any publisher services.
In fact I doubt they even disabled it from steamDB, new players could probably still try to download it since it was free, but they won't know to go looking for it since it's no longer advertised with a store page. If it still works it's here:

Just like some other old games without store pages like these:

Played this back on my cousin's Ps3 back in 2012.
Just launch it again. It will work. Tried it 5 minutes ago
