Is "Unexpected Error Occurred" still widespread? [SOLVED]

I picked up Gunpoint during the sale and am just now getting around to playing it. It starts up fine the first time, but after saving my game and quitting, I'm unable to restart it, getting the error "Unexpected Error Occurred when running the game." I've tried the two beta builds, compatibility mode, and running it as an admin, but nothing seems to fix it. If I delete my save folder it starts up fine again, but I'd rather not play through it in one sitting.


EDIT: Deleting progress.gun seems to get it to run again. Unfortunately that also wipes everything

Well I managed to figure out what was causing it. Some forum posts indicated that "Unexpected Error Occurred" is something that Game Maker tends to throw out when another program is interfering with it. By process of elimination it seems that Riva Tuner OSD was causing the problem. I added the Gunpoint executable to Riva Tuner's profile list and set the detection level to "None," and it seems to work now.
