*as a note, I'm not sure if there's anything locked to Night time. Their might be but you can only travel to a few places at night anyway. and most bugs and especially fish can be caught within 5 scene changes or less if you're in the right time of day so no need to go grind crazy on it like I did.
**booster cards are got when you buy chocobi. to open the cards, go into your inventory. There are 50 cards (that I saw). 10 types, 5 levels of stars for each. There might be 51 because no. 50 is only 4 stars and that one slows down the timing which is practically worthless. The only one I used was the level 4 and 5 stat boost. I think, perhaps, that the higher the star level on your booster card, the slower your special meter ramps up. idk if there's a tactic in there to use a 1 star booster or what. For the most part, usually specials would activate at the same time as your opponent.
I added to OP. Orders can be filled at night as well if you run out of time or you're doing sweeps at the other end. So you can get them in the afternoon and save them for night. Train guy goes home to stand by his wife at night during week 2 and 3 so you can't get orders from him at night. I also wouldn't wait til night to do Jiro's (DJ guy) even though I know I've gotten an order from him at night before because I ran out of time.
Yeah, they both only order oyakodon for me, regardless of what time I speak to them. Maybe there's some unlock condition for the curry...
EDIT: I'm an idiot. If you don't complete the request they give then it never changes, e.g if you get an order of oyakodon from Jiro, but never turn it in to Yoyoko, he will still order oyakodon every time you ask him until it's fulfilled.
I'm using the 5 star card (No. 40) that boosts all of my skills by 100 but I still cant get past the second opponent. I'm on week 3 so my 1st opponent has 700 hp and 2nd opponent has 800 hp. I've been at it for over 2 hours now... this really is just unplayable. Are children supposed to be able to beat this game??
In dino battles outside of the tournament I would occasionally get hints about what the opponent's next move might be, but I don't see those at all in the tournament. Is that a bug?
The only advice I can give after hours of grinding it would be that there's a usual pattern where they'll stick to two cards like paper, scissors. Since I'm almost sure the cpu is reading your input, the best you can actually hope for is a tie or to beat them on scissors if they go paper. I'm only speculating but it seems like a bad idea to pretty much ever use your biggest power card. if you do then it feels more like a coin flip than a rps game.
Correct. There are rare autosaves at key events (you'll see an icon in the bottom right IIRC), but to manual save, you can only do so at the end of the day. This is the same for all Boku games, too.
Thanks for the info
(In a spoiler tag maybe, for other people around here.)
Thank you. :)
at dusk (when the sky is orange)
I honestly have no idea what you mean, if you mean what she says at end game, it wasn't a special scene that I recall. there's the wedding but I don't remember if there was anything before that
