Controller Stopped Working

I brought this game because I'm a huge Boku no Natsuyasumi fan and was really enjoying it. I have been gaming with an Xbox one controller and right after I got it, the controller was working fine, but when I wanted to go back to my game today, the controller will not work with the game no matter what I've tried. It is working fine in all my other games.

I've tried reloading the default controller layout in Steam but this didn't help. Also tried closing and reloading Steam. Any help to get this working again would be appreciated. Thanks.
