I killed Melanchion!

More specifically my demigod party killed him - it was a tough fight made winnable through many invulnerability potions, skribbane, and the joy of running away so the Priest can resurrect whoever got hit by the death curse or got a little too close when Melanchion fulminates everything within 50 yards.

But what are they doing to do when Melanchion's parents take their revenge probably taking invulnerability potions of their own too.

Based? Melanchion comes off as a creepy cult leader. The kind of guy you wouldn't be surprised to see in a newspaper article after he and his followers all drink the koolaid together. Avernum is better off without him tbh.

I also managed to kill him in my campaign, which I consider to be the canon ending out of the endings I achieved. Twice actually, the first kill was in the throne room, the second one was down in the tunnels after I aggroed him by looting the treasure room, I found that encounter to be much easier.

I had to reload and try again several times for both, I didn't use skribbane but I used basically every other consumable.
