Phenomenal! If you were looking for a "learn to code while playing" THIS. IS. IT!
I work in programming irl and I've been looking for something just like this.

As of the time of writing, this is under-priced, specially considering all of the updates and attention the dev is giving to the game.

An ok game, but the bugs stop it from being a great game. Editor is awkward, and very different to how most editors function. Plenty of minor graphical bugs, like line high-lights during execution displaying in front of neighbouring windows. Minor annoying UI bugs like the info ("i") button showing a tool-tip of "Create new window". And the scoping of global variables seems completely broken and at-odds with how it's described in the documentation. Add to that the fact that the "goals" all simply revolve around collecting a given number of resources, with no need for balancing at all (i.e. collect enough X, then Y, then Z), so there's simply no incentive to write code any more complicated than collecting one resource at a time.

Any of these in isolation wouldn't be enough to ruin the game, but collectively they add up to form a rough-round-the-edges and unpolished experience. It's an ok game I guess, especially for the price, but it could have been a lot more.

I'm a software engineer. I bought this game to see if it would be something to try to teach my niece and nephew programming.

I haven't tried it with them yet, but I think the documentation and the simple early game steps should make it accessible to them.

I wonder about the sunflowers and later though. I think it might be too much for them on their own at a young age.

I think it would be good for adults desiring to learn programming. The instructions are helpful, and since it's Python-ish, search results may be helpful.

For me, the maze took a bit to figure out. The cacti looks easy enough with a basic sort algorithm. I haven't tried either yet, along with dinosaurs, and the fully automated game.

It would be nice if we had a few more Python niceities, such as unpacking tuples in for loops, list/dict comprehensions, generator functions, and the ability to make an iterator.

I'm looking forward to seeing how the game progresses.
