What's your favourite race/units and why?
I like monsters because they have werewolves. Not to mention they wear hats!

On another factor, the old trolls are strong agaisnt cities. Having a -7 gold and -3 food is quite good. Having regen + rejuvenation. My trolls won't flinch even after a few spells and city bombardments.

Let me know your race and your favourite units!

Old Trolls with Nature Regeneration are my favourite, along with Ancient Liches. If you have both of those, it's basically game over!

Same here, monsters area a great race and the only one I've completed the map with so far. The werewolves makes great frontlines and thier upgrade is awesome with the AoE spirit attack.

My favorite unit though comes from my least favorite race. Dunno if I'm too used to the stronger monster units but planeswalkers seem very weak and cwappy troops, thier only great troop being the fervus temple archer. Invis, 30 dam base, 3 nice abilities and since none of those takes the +ranged dam upgrade it gets to 54 dam after the first lvl =).

I've been having fun with the Planestrider's Raiding Senpan.
You can get a couple going quickly and gobble up shoreline towns.

:HappyMask: Svartans and Guardsmen and Flycraft of Ordert because why would I ever need anything else once I have that? Though I use marksmen and generic melee units until them

Also if you go Helia+Dauros you get some really awesome spells that go great with Svartan. The Desertification spell is really good for boosting mana regen and clearing out water, the harvest spell helps with the weak food income a lot, and Lands of Order is good for gold towns/shards, plus they have great boons and banes.

And the Flycraft of Order is epic, and your marksmen can be upgraded into it! :HappyMask:

I know right? They're pretty awesome but no ability to attack air units which I always spam so Pew Pew Pew Exterminate EXTERMINATE!

I've been playing with undead race recently.. not that impressed. As usually most monsters that spawned are kinda immune to elementals and death rendering vampires useless. even the zombies are there just to tank the frontlines. Flying Galleon(Last Tier) well... its okay but against capital they can be one shot'd

I've been playing mostly Svarts and really enjoying them. I too love trolls and werewolves, but they can't attack flying which is 90% of exiled mode. Svarts have dragonsworn guardsmen which make perfect shard defenders. Their exemplars of magic are probably the most op unit in the game though besides heros. If you build runeforwomen first you can cast their buff spells, do the melee upgrades. Then you upgrade to the exemplar and do the magic upgrades. They become unkillable death machines. Throw on a haste and wind walking and they're all set.

Yep, but that's why I like the Ancient Liches (AL). Takes out the flying units as many as 7 at a time. Same with boats! ALs at about level 5 or 6 have a pretty potent elemental attack too. About the only things that I've found that ALs don't handle well are Vampires and Earth Elementals.

Of course there are some boss monsters, especially in the plane worlds that are pretty tough too. And one really nasty creature that I've only seen once is the Phantom Archer, which was sitting on a some kind of lootable hex. I never got to find out what loot it was, or even take them out (there were 2 of them eventually) due to some bug with the Steam Cloud saves that trashed my save games for that adventure.

Humans, It is the race I usually played in Warlock 1 so I guess I just feel comfortable playing them.

Minotaurs! I love casting levitation on them and making flying cows of battle. But the ultimate has to be that dragon turtle. It's the size of a freakin CITY and it embarks for free. I only really make them fly because IT LOOKS AWESOME.

Temple units are great and all, but you can't always count on being able to get them when you want them. Sometimes you stumble across several Holy Lands out of the gate, sometimes you never so much as get a whiff of one for most of a game.

As for most useful, Iril Bowmasters and Warlocks/Sorcerers of Angil are up there. 2 Bowmasters can perma-stun, and Warlocks' abilities allow a wide range of different damage nukes. Bowmasters also get a range 3 ability. Very handy.

Koatl Warlocks are very useful. They are pretty cheap, you can get them early, they have great elemental damage for early game, and they have a death nuke w/ a stun, which makes them always useful.

The human catapult isn't the most sexy unit, but range 3 siege is useful in every situation.

Holy lands can be sometimes hard to find, I agree.

Problem with stun is that it doesn't work anymore, except if your unit/spell is so much higher than the unit you are attacking. It just slows the enemy unit down.

I'm liking the Svarts and the Dragomort Guardsman ATM.
well in Warlock 1 it was aerathi elves, with monster sub city for wolves of helia because dear jesus christ allmighty those things are unstopable once you start stacking perks and flying. In this so far I have only really used the planestriders, and I got super lucky and found 5 temple units from high end spawns early, 2 druids, 1 wolves of helia,2 rat paladins.
