Thoughts so far, suggestions were recommended on the stream.
Just started playing after catching the last 5 mins of Dev stream.

When standing still among a patch of berries, I'd like to be able to just hold down the gathering key to keep gathering. Maybe while moving as well, maybe not. But definitely while stationary.

I want to throw my spear. I am of Greek descent born in Australia. When I hold a spear, I want to throw it! Its a very natural thing. Want!

I cannot cut down and gather one tree without running out of stamina. I have cut plenty of lumber with an axe in the real world. The wood cutting animation is too fast. You don't want to waste any energy. You recover stamina in between the power stroke and the readying for another. Slow, relaxed drawback as you line up your shot. Inhaling as you do. Exhale as you put the right amount of strength into your swing. Accounting for your own stamina. Which, if you are active as the player character clearly is, dudes strong as ♥♥♥♥! He won't be silly enough to exhaust himself in the 14 strokes it takes now to be out of stamina.

I'd like to see more bend in the right knee. You strike horizontal, cutting into the tree. Then you strike down at an angle, removing a chunk. Rinse and repeat. Two different angles.

Slow down the chopping animation. Reduce the stamina drain. That's how you do work. You pace yourself so you can keep going all day long. Not burn yourself out in 14 strikes then just stand there doing nothing until you feel like doing more. No sir that is not how you cut down a tree!

Also a pause in the animation after the strike connects. When the axe has sunk into the wood. There is friction. You need to knock it loose before you can draw back. The current animation is more akin to hitting a tree with a hammer. Bap bap bap bap bap. I want to see the powerful axe strikes this behemoth of a man would be capable of. Slow and steady. All day long. Its not very fun cutting up half a tree. Then doing nothing for what feels like eons. I just want to axe!!

A proper woodsman can swing that axe all day long.

Went into far more detail than I intended. I'd forgotten how fun cutting down a tree can be. If you can instill that feeling into the animation, it will be much more immersive. Perhaps send the animator to a place where they can be shown and taught how to really swing an axe. The feel of it. It is glorious.

Walking into rocks and hitting spacebar to just hop on the spot and not climb up is a bit jarring. Same with foundations. I want to be able to clamber up them. Jumping when carrying multiple weapons is so hard! Clambering is the way to go. Uses a lot less energy and won't break your ankles.

I remembered the order of strokes wrong whilst in the adhd rant/infodump state.

First a powerful downward stroke. Axe head has to travel deeper into the wood, will be met with more resistance. Then it just takes a much lighter horizontal swing to allow a chunk of wood to be freed. You maintain stamina for a good long while. You're swinging as hard as you can every single time.

I personally find it very frustrating when the game character is extremely active every single day. Incredibly fit and healthy but is somehow less physically capable with less stamina than my ordinary self was as a teenager. When I play games a little fantasy is good. My character being weak even compared to me is a huge disconnect and a let down.

Want be strong boy. Looks like a strong boy. Feels weak cutting tree.

I think it would be great to be able to craft and throw javelins, similar to the soldiers around the various temples, Adding a Throw skill could increase range or rate of fire (throw), for example.
