Where is the best spot for farming wolves?

If you head north from the portal, you'll find a 3-4 pack, then east towards a 2-piece iron node you'll find another 3-4 pack but this group has a pretty large wandering/pathing area.

Then go back into the portal and hit the wolf cave thats on the portal mountain. Also walk around the forests at night on the starter island and you'll find more, especially at the northern place of power area.

There's more groups around I just didnt happen to record their locations because I used this method and had my 20 wolves and then later 10 3-star wolves (for hearts, for ambrosia potions, for dionysus quest) in short order while I mixed in some other farming.

Your map was spot on. Finished my 20 3 star wolves & a bunch of hearts to boot in no time at all. Put down a bed far enough away from the spawns so as not to interfere with the pathing, save and back out to menu. Restart, rinse and repeat. Huzzah!

a bit late but there are also three to four packs roaming in the outer ring of the smolikas mountains as well as a couple packs on the island of arrival.

If you want to cheese:

1. Kill a 3-star animal from some distance and pick it up
2. Go back to the place from which you took the shot. Make a save.
3. Reload the save. A new 3-star animal will be at the same spot. (in most cases)

I just killed 40 wolves without finding one 3 star wolf. Something's not right.
