Cannot launch the game : apparently already running...

...but no, since I wanna launch it.

Seriously guys it's been months since I have this issue. Apparently it's an Epic problem, but I have other games that use EGL dependencies but no problem here, so the issue is probably not on my side.

And everytime I try to launch it again, it increase the gametime (I had 86 min before, now it's 93). I cannot even see the devs logo or any game screen...

Ok this happen recently to me

When you luanch the game on Steam just pick
"Luanch game with Dirext 11"
Also make sure to Opt out of Epic (Ewww)

Sorry you are having this issue! You've never been able to open the game?
Just to check, have you tried these things:

- Verify game files
- Sync your computer clock
- Update Epic Games Store launcher
- Block connection in your firewall to EGS.
- If these aren't improving anything for you, try uninstalling EGS, then use the EpicOnlineServicesInstaller.

Can try the DirectX11 switch. You are opening the game from within the Steam launcher, rather than a desktop/quickbar shortcut?

Mein Sohn hat die selben Probleme. Er startetes bei steam steht auch wird geladen. nur kommt weder der Ladebildschirm noch sinstirgendetwas . es regt sich einfach nichts. egal ob d11 d12 oder sonstirgendetwas. Sein System AMD Ryzen 7 5700 G . 32 Gb.Ram. Rtx 3070 super. Epic Update is ok. Verify gamefiles ok. Block connection to firewall ok. unstalling EGS and youse Epic online blablablubb ok.!!Es wäre schön wenn man nicht selber das problem lösen müsste sonder Ihr als Spieleentwickler:-) Lieben Dank

Sorry, I don't know German, and sorry your kid's having trouble getting in game! We'll see how we can help! This hasn't seemed to be something straightforward that we can patch a fix through because its often a specific, slightly different issue for each player related to hardware/anti-virus/executable settings....

Another thing to try: If you don't have a world/save you're worried about losing, presumably because you haven't been able to launch the game, please go to your %localappdata%\DefiantImmortals\ folder and delete the Saved folder entirely, it will clear out your cache and allow the game to start fresh.

If relaunching then still doesn't work, we'll have to look into your log files. You can get your log file within the new "Saved" folder. Please attach the latest DefiantImmortals.log file to an email to [e-mail] OR you can come to our Discord,[discord.gg] and we can probably work with you more quickly there.

Also experienced this issue several times. Today the game won't launch at all, I noticed that if launch task manager & kill the Epic trash services, the game launches fine. Get rid of that unnecessary garbage, this game looks good & deserves better than EOS.
