So if you die in a mob camp, twice as it happens trying to retrieve possessions , is there a way to bind yourself to a certain place when you die or summon your corpse? At the moment i am stuck in a circle of death !!

Unfortunately no, you will have to either recreate a armor set and weapons kill the enemy and retrieve you gear. I've had to do it a few times myself. My suggestion is if you are on the main island is to get the wood like hardwood for the bow and shot them from a distance, and make sure you use a food (cooked wolf heart which you can get from a 3 star wolf) that gives you 60 extra health and stamina so you can last the fight a bit longer.

Also you can lay down a bed far enough away from your corpse so as not to aggro the mobs and cut down your run time if your attempt fails. Don't forget to destroy the bed when your done and re-bind to your casa.

A little update, there is an option in the game setting to not leave your possessions on you if you die, in other words you re-spawn with them. It definitely helps if you die surrounded in a camp, but does remove the jeopardy of diefeat. My RPG gaming life started on Everquest which needed you to get a different class of character to summon or resurrect your corpse, with a loss of exp, I appreciate that is a very different game but some ability to recover your corpse without the certainty of further deaths would be useful.

when you start the game in settings there is an option for keep inventory on death, I think you do lose 1 or 2 things but not everything which can be a game changer and I think you can change this anytime you start your game hope that helps
