"Power is the amount of life the character has."
"Technique is how good they are at skating and tricks, etc."
"Graffiti is how talented they are with a spray-can in their hand. (Also the
better they are, the more difficult it is to do their tags."

Mid-range works best.

I use Yo-Yo if I want to obtain a Jet rating myself.
I don't understand how Technique and Graffiti stats manifest itself. Is technique how well they move in the air or something? And how is tagging different from a low to a high stat character?

The higher your technique stat, the more points you'll get for trick strings (like grinding, jumping to another grind, jump on a wall, grind again, and so forth). The higher your graffiti stat, the more complex your tag inputs will be (the hardest being 3x360 tags), but your scores for the more complex tags will be higher.
Well a different guide i read said that Technique is needed to move around the world easier to get graffiti souls so it must effect more then points gained.

Sorry, the score stays the same, I mean it's easier to get longer strings if you have a better technique stat. Like some characters aren't as floaty when jumping from grinds, which makes it harder to land those loops (like jumping from rail to rail, wall to rail, etc.). There are a lot of graffitti souls at weird angles, so you probably want a high technique character when attempting them.
So it effects the characters gravaty during jumps?

Different characters control differently. Those with higher technique stat trend towards more floaty in my opinion, you can call it what you want. Some are faster, so it's easier for them to make longer jumps IF you don't have a long running startup - though technique is not necessarily an indicator of speed. You just have to experiment with different characters. If you're going for a certain graffitti soul or loop and you can't reach it with one character, try one with a higher technique stat.

Once you have a grasp on the physics in the game, you'll be able to tell the difference between the different characters better.

every character handles exactly the same and have the exact same physics, the stats just effect the amount of points you get for doing tricks or spraying graffiti. characters with high technique stat get more points for doing tricks, characters with high graffiti get more points for spraying graffiti.

ironically, characters with high graffiti (gum, piranha, and yoyo) can only hold 15 cans. where as the characters with a high technique stat can hold around 30.

According to the original user manual for the DC version that i have here :

- Power : The amount of stamina a character has.
- Technique : The larger the gauge, the smaller the turning circle.
- Graffiti : The larger the gauge, the more difficult the graffiti and the less spray cans you can carry, but the greater the amount of points you can score.

A lot of guides say that Technique is required to get a lot of Graffiti souls so this cannot be true.

If that includes turning while in the air, that makes sense.

A lot of guides say it's easier with different characters, but none of them say you have to use anyone specific.
