So what should I do? Left/Right then jump? Or Jump then left/right? Wouldn't either just make me move/jump in a direction that is not forward? :P
Just wish there was some way to get a savegame that had this part beat. Hah!
I failed may runs with random stuff:
- bumping into whatever things (bumping into Beat himself - and he rotates me 180 degree and pushes back at some distance; bumping into invisible to us things on that shibuya square with many peoples with side view; bumping into either bus or trees or architecture; bumping into gates; bumping into cars and trees and parts of buildings )
- hilarious stuff like ending up on cars and those cars drive you away to exit, lol
- stupid gate part between halfpipe and streets!! many many times something went wrong - be that Combo pushing away from gate entrance, skating on halfpipe instead when entrance attempt fails on its own or due to Beat or when you're ready exit to street yet Beat pushes you away from door so you bump into fence or Combo starts descending instead..
- on final streets, besides random car intereference, jumping after grinding on rails (those on right side at least, dont remember left ones) easily bumps you into trees or parts of building..
and list go on
-Upon leaving the bus terminal and entering the street/playground area, wait until the bus passes by and latch onto/follow it. Don't enter the halfpipe until the third entrance on your left. This should give you a small time save.
-As others have said, abuse the boost jump exploit.
-You don't need to gain momentum off of the halfpipe. The jump can be made from the ground. (Regardless of your control type, angle of entrance, or use of the pipe, this race is finnicky. Don't feel discouraged.)
-Once you get past the halfpipe area, take the right-hand path down the hill (it's faster.) Just don't forget to pick up a can on your way down, and you should be good!
