Custom skins?

I was wondering if anyone else has ever done custom skins for this game? Like, I wanna add my own characters and without you know coding/building new models would it be possible to basically retexture the already existing characters. Also, does anyone happen to know where the texture files even are? :))

Texmod allows this, I have done it a few times to make my own Love Shocker skins.
