HELP! not starting

when i try to start up the game the launch window comes up then a second later it disapears and im on windows xp

The supported OS for Hitman sniper challenge AND hitman absolution will be VISTA or 7, XP dont have the correct DX11 dll and the runtime c++ dll... These DLL are unique to vista or windows 7 but the support team of Square enix said that the very recommended OS is 7... Because hitman Absolution is ESPECIALLY designed for 7, not XP

Yeah,
I have windows 7 professional, updated,
amd radeon hd 6700 series, updated,
direct x 11, updated,
local data deleted, once again downloaded, not working
I check the reapairfunction if everything is installed right fine, says yes,
try, and no launching...

huh.... very weird isn't... Did you updated Runtime c++? Maybe its that... If its not, I dont have any other ideas.

try uninstalling threatfire if you have it installed. it seems to mess with a few games' installation through steam. that worked for me.

I have same issue and am very worried as not only did i pre purchase the game i also go the proffesional edition. what im really worries about is if this same issue carrys onto the full game and i wont be able to play it, thus i will have wasted all that damn money

I guess my probelm is due to me using windows xp still :(
I guess i could upgrade
but perhaps io or square could put out a simple patch or something, to allow users such as me to play the games i payed for.

i thougt about a refund then i got vista and a new graphics card in works like a treat

well i had the same problem as you cause i was running xp for awhile too untill i read it only supports dx10 and dx11 , and it is one of the reasons why this game wont run on xp because it supports up to dx9 which is the max you can run on xp, so i switched to 7 just to play this lol
