Please remove the starting chips from the chip pool.
Every time I do a mission and it gives me the chips I literally start with (Francis/Victoria/Percy/Isabella Mindchip, Scouts of Hades Eclipse Blade etc.)
I don't care what flavor reason that they're still in there. It just makes me want to quit every time I get them.
Or just let me use mind chips multiple times for multiple "Files" of that Mind. Letting me make multiple builds for the same "Person".

hi as far as i know, the vanilla game lets you trade them for cool stuff.
i think in the beta i heared that they cant be traded if you find a spare, but then im wondering what do to with them, the might be a way to dismantle them for PCB chips or something? one of my friends got a duplicate blue recipe chip too, but i hope something can still be done with them) :)

I know you can trade them (outside the beta. Really should fix that.) but they're still a horrible reward for a mission. Especially if most of the areas you can trade them in hate you. They literally break my want to play anymore cause when they show up I feel like my time was completely wasted. Not to mention that what you get from a station for them is almost nothing compared to what I could get if the game rolled literally anything else.
They're not fully worthless but they might as well be and kill my enjoyment.

And until right now I didn't remember that I still got all the things I picked up in the mission.
It's such a bad reward it short circuits anything I did in the game and makes me want to stop playing the moment I see it. It's not even the only reward sometimes. But just seeing that one of my rewards was completely useless makes me sad and quit.

ah ok, yeah i can understand that.
best thing is to try (with practice) to not let it get you sad :) just think of all the cool things that could happen instead :lunar2019piginablanket:

for example:
- class chip you already have
- swap it for medkits random trade
- swap medkits for fuel
- swap fuel for mister veggies
- swap mister veggies for chemtrails
- dismantle for glass and acid (or mostly acids in beta)
- trade those for several clan tradition whiskeys to help in the fight against quasimorphs
= you still win :lunar2019grinningpig:

(but yeah, maybe having a "weighted reward system" could help, if its not in the game already, whereby every chip trade is still randomised, BUT, each time you get something you already have unlocked, it adds a bonus 5% to your chance of re-rolling it :) that could help i think
You can trade them so theyre not useless. /Thread

I have only seen CR purchase duplicate chips thus far, so if you want like 6000 nails, they'll happily purchase them so you can set up your own carpentry business
