Buckshot vs slugs
Is there a reason why buckshot rounds deal so much more damage than slugs?
Slugs take double the ammount of powder to make but have a -20% damage modifier as opposed to buckshot that has a 100% damage modifier. The difference is the damage types but is blunt damage really that good vs cut damage?
Seems like an odd design choice but maybe theres a reason for it.

Load slugs in a shotgun and look at the damage.
Buckshot has 4 pellets with little damage.
Slug is a single... slug wich add all 4 little pellets' damage into one.

btw if there are 2 or more targets, (or a barrel) near the enemies, or your character's accuracy is a bit lower, buckshot is usually my choice to at least hit something (but try to avoid the barrels if possible, since fire can also burn items on the ground, which you might have otherwise found something cool :)

fire is still useful for taking out enemies though ;)
