Her perk works only with consumables so it won't be applied to ammo.
Just checked rags, they stack to 24 for her.

Technically, ammo is a consumable :P Just like rags, weapon parts, ceramic plates, and everything you can use from your inventory to perform an action.

Maybe she should not have +4 for some items but +2 for all stackable items?

Okay then sometime even consumlable dont stack to +4 right away. but forcing it again does fix it.

still doesnt feel very good...

Except if you farm consumable she doesn't serve much of a purpose since
extra stuff= extra weight=less dodge.
You rarely need that much healing items since most consumable consomation in a mission is mostly healing item and food...if you really dont plan to eat peoples

Oh boy, you've yet to consider that Priya can hold 5 Dr. Jones in a single slot. With that, outside of being one-shot she is nigh immortal.

That's exactly what I'm using her for. Priya + Tunnel Rats + Mars = Infinite cigarettes and booze :D

Maybe its because im still only got mostly base stuff and "cultist" class (the one that get boosyed by pact/doest suffer as much from them...)

so eclipse blade and hades scout are nice but doesnt click with her...

also i dont find enough smoke and alcool to exploit her perk

still feel like it should feel kind of good to use any character perk

The perk affecting actual ammo would honestly accomplish nothing save for sawblade-centric builds (not going to count Q-weapons, as they aren't good anymore), which would see a 20% ammo density increase (which isn't much). Once you get past 40-stack ammo (7.97, Non-Dilthey batteries, fuel), a +4 stack size bonus becomes too negligible to even consider. The previous statement also hold true for loot density (if for some reason you somehow have a shortage of ammo).

Honestly, if Marlon's perk at least affected grenades (and the consumable throwing knives that count as "grenades"...then again those aren't important for this), it would make anyone equipped with it an excellent platform for the Shake, since it would more than double their ammo density.

As-is, the perk is kind of pigeon-holed into use with (typically melee) Marauder builds that use large quantities of meds to stay alive.

Tbh even for the loot goblin build i'd still pass her over in favor of Percy for later game missions, especially should they not happen on mars.

Some smallish amounts of extra loot versus increased likelihood of getting lovetapped by a quasimorph and losing everything including the horse you came riding on, nopers for me

Well Percy is the "safe" choice and will always be.

But i feel like every Character perk should help a gameplay or a type of run...
I have:
- +10% general resistance, always good since most game is figthing for melee or for range
- no infection allow to use rag most of the time for small wound and eat raw flesh
- +2 range help ranged gameplay making short range weapon medium range, medium long and long range able to tap guys from out of their sight range
- Weight affect dodge -75% allow to be the ultimate loot goblin and still dodge somehow
- Feel no pain allow to not care about an entire mecanism.
- +4 consumable per slot only item it really buff is dr jone mallet but its a rare consumable and if you need +400hp per run you probably playing very wrong, or doing a "naked" run

So "Thrift" could be boosted a bit to make it better because it doest really open new way to play or really reinforce another one. I mean its written she is god at stacking items why doesn't it work even better to stack stuff into the capsule and the shuttle?
Like double items stack in the shuttle/capsule...she would still only get +4 for herself but be godly to bring massiv amount of base material from missions throught shuttle and capsule.
Then she get two bonus one for exploring and one for looting, but she would be kind of the weakest operator for pure fighting.

10 (Flat) resistance has very little impact once you start getting mid-game armors. Even with People's Front, which you can get starting in the second tutorial mission, you're only talking 5-7% damage reduction with Invincible over other mercs' perks. Once you have your hands on something Carnage/Legend/Mymidon/Mystery tier, it's functionally pointless to keep Invincible.

Invincible is a great perk, but it falls off massively if you aren't running around naked.

I use Percy as a platform for builds based primarily on him having the highest starvation threshold (because of how weak food bar upgrades are). His other base stats are quite good, too. Again, as above, once you reach mid-game, there's no reason to keep Invincible. You can put Hardened (Scouts of Hades) on any class, mid-tier armors are all quite strong, and Hardened provides much more survival impact than Invincible.

Obviously, there are other ways to improve survivability and 100% dodge builds are quite reachable in the late game despite the high investment cost. You probably want to use Kenzi or Capet as platforms to make those work, however.

On the contrary 10% resistance is extremely good and was made even better by the last patch which changed it from soak dmg flat resist to 10% less damage. It now mitigates even more damage than it used to, especially in the late game.

If you thought Percy was meta previously, he is now even better if nothing else.

Reading your comment it seems you are not taking into account that rework to resists, because his traits says "All resists +10" and resists are no longer flat X amount of dmg soak

which btw if a dev can clarify what the new armor penetration formula is, that would be great because i suspect the resists you see displayed now are fully % based, but weapons and ammo probably have their own penetration factor but it's a bit murky to me still.

Also, before the negative status effects applied by weapons had to pierce the soak resist to apply but it doesn't seem to be the case anymore, i wonder if there's a way to fireproof for instance now, and in cases where a sawblade deals 0 damage, does it still have a chance to sever a limb?
many questions ^^ but Percy >* still

Percy's perk is 10 FLAT resistance. Not 10%. Flat resistances translate to percentage-based damage reductions. Again, because of how resistance scaling works, it's a bad perk once you have medium armor and even worse once you are able to upgrade armor to shore up weaknesses.

0 resist vs 10 resist = 22% damage reduction difference (1.00 vs 0.78)
10 resist vs 20 resist = 17% damage reduction difference (0.78 vs 0.61)
20 resist vs 30 resist = 14% damage reduction difference (0.61 vs 0.47)
40 resist vs 50 resist = 8% damage reduction difference (0.37 vs 0.29)
50 resist vs 60 resist = 5% damage reduction difference (0.29 vs 0.24)
90 resist vs 100 resist = 2% damage reduction difference (0.11 vs 0.09)

do you have a source or can share the resistance formulas please?
