How does the Stockmarket work

I've been playing for awhile now but one thing that has always confused me is what makes someone raise and lower

I've felt like every faction I actively attack regularly raises to the top and ones I actively do missions for drop right to the bottom

No what I'm talking about is why is Coreward MG at 28000 and Franche-Comte PS at 900

Even though i do every mission Attacking Coreward
And every mission for Franche

How many stations each of them has? Factions get Power from their assets.

How long unitl the next updtae? Will the trade system be reworked? The current state of it, aside from the ability to pick up some of the rarer crafting items (at a premium mind you!), its really not worth the time to bother with trade, particularly when there appears to be no faction chips available, its where we get the best gear! It's why we favour specific factions!
Why make it harder than ever to get those ever so precious faction chips?!!
