Quasimorph

Quasimorph

Which Factions should I choose to side with?
The main criteria for what I want out of my quasimorph playthrough are the following:

1. Gives me gear that is either useful or can make my character(s) OP.

2. Relative ease of the enemies.

3. Which planets/moons should I start out with as my first missions as a Quasimorph noob?

Those are the things I mainly want to know.

Thanks m8, greatly appreciate the corpo recs. In fact, they just so happen to match the exact same recs as the ones in this guide: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3218048642

Also, how do you unlock the other mercenaries of your ship's crew?

Remember that hexarchs currently never attack eachother so you might want to work for minor factions too in order to avoid hexarchs being too strong later on. Personally I love church of revelation for early game and sunlight coven for their special backpack.

Good to know. Why exactly do you want to avoid making the hexarchs too strong? Are you going to have to fight them eventually? Or is that something you want to do if you want to conquer the solar system for yourself? So I should take missions from these factions as a noob then?:
- AnCom
- SBN
- RealWare
- Sunlight Coven (Are they Wicca practitioners? I think "witches" when I hear the word "coven")
- Church of Revelation (Are they Christian Televangelists?)

Feel free to add or subtract recommendations for both hexarchs and minor corporations to start out with first. Especially as new updates roll out for the game.

If a faction gets too weak it can lose all assets and that means you lose access to all their stuff from that point on. Also, if you boost hexarchs too much the game devolves into hexarchs vs Quasimorphs so you might want to keep the system balanced.

For a pretty easy first timers expirence I would suggest:

Ally/work for:
Realware
SBN
Ancom

(Then pick 2 of the smaller factions, I think Dailey and Planet Brigade are good choices)

Then make your major enemies:
Teztch (Venus xenomorphs)
Coreworld
Church of Revelation
Resistence

And any of the other smaller factions you decide you don't care for.

Realware/SBN/Ancom are lethal to fight against when your new. Better to have them on your side then against.

Coreworld is a major faction but their weapons are mostly industrial, so you'll have an easier time fighting them as long as you remember they love flamers and disc throwers (bring water, don't get your head chopped off from a bouncing blade lol)
Church of Revelation gives almost all their agents a pistol that uses 7.62 so if you fight them often you can stock up on that ammo with little to no effort.
Teztch is hard, but you don't have to fight them until your ready.

**Tip alot of new peoples don't know about, you can pick which side your fighting for on each contract, theres a little arrow button you press and that determines who your fighting for and who your against. Just note that POWER levels and mission objectives will be completely different depending on who your helping, so watch that closely lol

For your first game I'd say don't worry about factions being too strong. You'll likely want to restart and have more control over the game (tweak settings, etc), once you have a better idea of what your doing, then you can plan out your game plan a bit better. At the start, just worry about getting agents out alive and learning the core mechanics

And yea stick on Mars. 1 of the Earth stations has no quasimorphis but nothing wrong with spending the first 30 hours of your gametime just bouncing around mars and the 2 moons. I'd also suggest trying Ceres when your ready to try fighting space demons, they are a fairly easy type of hellspawn and i personally find them much easier then the moon/venus/mercury.

If you use the right typê of damages every quasimorph are okay

Moon are weak vs cut so shotgun buckshot is king fire and cold isnt bad either, but resit pierce blunt and poison, whellchair of death are fast and strong so bring auto shotgun, the Baron is weak but tanky, can make item on the ground explode or raise undead corpses.
Venus Weak vs pierce so .44guns or 7.92mm and fire and resist cold and poison. They use cold and poison.
Mercury weak vs blunt so shotgun slug or 9mm They dont have very strong guys but the most common explode with acid damages. they also resist poison and fire. The Baron isnt very tanky but hit hard and have Nova and Laser attack.

Teztch tends to have low difficultly level quests too.
Usually 1-2 stars. Their foes tend to drop pretty valuable armor and items. (armor that sells for 1000 delta/credits as base value)

Problem is, they tend to have escort quests, which gives you a big hulking ally who will bleed to death from a simple foot wound, because you cannot heal him...:pointless:
Or you get a simple 1-2 floor quest, but run into an enemy who has an insane laser-cannon that blasts you to bits in 1-2 hits. :happiestmask:

If you choose to side with them, ALWAYS avoid the escorts, and ALWAYS target the ranged enemies first, for their quests.

Thanks for the explanation, This will come in handy.

Going by the suggestions in this thread so far, my allies should be:
- AnCom
- SBN
- RealWare
- Sunlight Coven
- Dailey (Don't you mean "Dilthey"?)
- Planet Brigade (Don't you mean "Planet Bridge" instead? I think you made a typo for these two factions.)

While my enemies should be:
- Tezctlan (This one's more forgiving of a typo since I myself need to check wikis for Aztec-style spelling.)
- Coreward MG (another typo)
- Church of Revelation
- Resistance

Thanks for telling me which kinds of ammo are best against each quasimorph demon. This will come in handy provided I can remember where to find this thread at a later date.

I'm most likely not going to ally with Tezctlan given the accumulative ally and enemy recommendations within this thread. But good to know regardless.

Can I ask why? Going by their Quasimorph Wiki article their lore is interesting. Do they have any overpowered weapons you like to use? I'll probably add that to my list of allied factions:

- AnCom
- SBN
- RealWare
- Sunlight Coven
- Dilthey
- Planet Bridge
- Franche-Comte PS

My Enemies:
- Tezctlan
- Coreward MG
- Church of Revelation
- Resistance

Also, can you only ally yourself with two minor corporations at a time? Or can you ally with up to four of them in addition to the big three of AnCom, SBN and RealWare?

Their elimination quests are great, "A warrier of great energy"... Almost always a super geared Head of Security for the faction you are facing.

There are a few approaches to factions, depending on your exact strategy, skill level, and how early in the campaign you are.

Early game, your priority is to be net positive on key supplies, unlock classes/crafting chips/mercs, and grab key ship upgrades. To make ends meet, you might have to do a few jobs for factions you'd rather avoid empowering.

Once you are self sufficient and about to snowball, you have more choices. To get to that point you want at least:

1 Crafting Chip for a decent gun. Not mandatory, but nice to have, as running out of guns can lead to a death spiral.

1 Tunnel Rats class chip. +1 loot per corpse gives a decent shot of finding ship upgrades on regular corpses, +2 and higher is an insane amount of loot.

1 Navigation ship upgrade. Create 1+ missions per day instead of waiting or travelling for months for new missions.

1 Hanger ship upgrade. Retrieve more loot from missions.

1 Engineering ship upgrade. Granted for free if you do the tutorial.

Once you have one of each of these assets, you can start focusing on upgrading them further. Don't get too hyperfocused on any one upgrade - you need a little of each to snowball.

---

The faster you transition into the snowball phase, the sooner you can stop taking missions you don't want, and the sooner you can manipulate the market to your advantage.

(And remember - if you work for a faction, you might get ONE set of it's gear. Fight AGAINST that faction, and you'll have dozens! - if you can extract with that much gear, of course.)
I usually do Coreworld MG early game because I want to get welders
Honestly like 80% of the choice is personal preference. You can either get the faction rewards by allying with them, or you can get them by ultraviolence when you see higher tiered enemies in combat. It's largely a matter of what flavor of awful do you want your corporate overlords to be. I personally like Dilthey because their special battery ammo is really good. Slightly lower damage, but stacks higher and has increased crit and burn chance.

There is neat ♥♥♥♥ in the rewards tree for basically every faction so I would say there really isn't a bad option, aside from maybe siding with Tezclan if you plan on following the main story.
