So basically it's "impossible" to get the armor set of a faction I am helping?
Like, if I have a 12% chance of getting one piece. Quick math, you have to do about 30 missions to have a 50/50 chance of getting the set?
In 30 missions, I think it's more likely that you get the armor set from boxes and random loot than from the actual rewards...
The bigger the reward from mission, the higher chance that you'll get some expensive piece of armor/weapon or 2 or 3 or more.
For 30 mission you will likely end up with 4-5 sets or armor
But yeah, if you want to farm it more reliably you will need to actually fight them
And yes, if there are not enough reward points then you won't receive expensive gear. The price of an item is the yellow number in the right upper corner of its tooltip.
Also, do a mission against them with a tunnel rat, they can have faction chips on them
