Quasimorph

What's most effective way to get flesh?
I need them for first aid kits, and I still don't know how to chop up human corpses.

Food as well, because it's delicious.

Chopping humies of course.

Grab a bone or other cutting/piercing melee weapon, open body inventory then go into bodypart tab, there you can amputate specific bodyparts for parts like bowels for feces or go full on butcher and press the amputate all button which replaces recycle all.

I usually get it on defense missions. There are no floor loot there and enough enemies to get a lot of meat.

I see
Alternatively, killing enough enemies on a single tile to create a corpse pile auto-amputates all of those bodies' parts. Some items from the pile will be lost if the pile is then destroyed, but that's a minor issue.
hi just to add 1 tip, if you are using the "all" button, try not to do that if your bladed weapon has less than i think 7 durability (the usual for humans, or has more than the amount of harvestable parts), because this will then also allow you to still have a chance of getting an item back from that weapon, when you dismantle it. (for example a shiv made from glass, could give you a bit of glass back, or a knife might give you a blade back).

this is because once the durability reaches 0 you cant dismantle it anymore.
(one quality of life feature that could be useful though, would be the ability to still be able to dismantle anything that reaches 0) :)
Choping humans on defence & control missions & if you have the skull contract that lets you rise quasi from blood... then you can harvest even more of it after they die in fev turns^.
