I wanted to change evac only when mission completed to evac anytime (at the elevators). Reason being is anytime I get serious about fighting quazimorphs I never have the right loadout, just haven't SEEN the hellspawn enough to know what to expect and what to bring to counter the effects and clear the mission. Really sucks running into stuff for the first time and having to doom a leveled character for a quick trial and error style learning session because there is just nothing that can be done in the moment other then die in a corner. I think evacing at any elevator is fine, its not a free ride, you can still easily get caught out and die. I think its a good combination of risk/reward and the game is still plenty hard while learning to play that you don't need to flush characters for nothing for the sake of immersion.
