I can´t really check, because once they fire, my Guy gets electrocute stun and the turns pass automatically.
But I can say this: whenever they fire, volley or single shot, is enough to paralyze my guy in that ONE shot/volley.
If the the lightning has a debuff that needs to stack to a certain limit before immobilizing you, then that ONE shot/volley it enough to fill the stack limit.
Armors with proper shock res are Mystery Pattern(ancom, same armor worn by inqisitors), Prophet pattern(sunlight coven) and Seraphim pattern(church of revelation)
Also, inqisitors are extremly vulnerable to piercing damage
When on that new story mission morphs or posessed humans with 20 resist to all from morphosis level get shot with 1 or 2 volleys from shock pistol it reliably gets stunned even when not very damaged.
Its a balancing problem because the guns are not even mentioned as dealing shock damage.
You need to mix your amor to have 60 shock when fighting ancom.
The only gun that actually does anything against them is the endgame ancom sniper rifle with its burst mode.
But there have been cases where is die across the screen from a sniper and shockgun.
In my game ancom has 26 locations so i fight ancom 90% of time.
This is the reason why my review for the game is still negative.
Every big patch there are huge problems with balance.
They should remove the prologue or make it so you die at the end.
The people armor set is crazy for early game.
By the time i died to spider poison i had 50% of ship upgrades and a buffalo.
Now with ancom having so many endgame guns, 3 or 4. They murder my percival the magnificent every time they ambush me from behind a corner so i mostly destroy walls now.
But its crazy how a broken gun turned my game into a nightmare to play.
If they make difficulty be 10 sliders or 4 number difficulty like recive/do 10/20/30% damage the game will be trash.
I hope they make the difficylty like battle brothers where max difficulty means you face stronger enemies faster but also get much better rewards
The shock wounds decrease accuracy so you cant kill them if they shoot first.
Pain becomes a big problem and their guns have good range.
You just destroy the corners if possible but that might uncover more enemies.
The irony is that every faction has at least 2 guns that will kill the player as fast as this but we will never see them because those factions are drowned by top 3 corpos and tetzclan.
Can you imagine a burst buzzsaw launcher? A shock minigun? Some crazy shotguns
Doesn't help they have insane range and will fire from 11 tiles away.
Running it against Tez is great because you have unlimited ammo and can just spam away.
Wearing 4/4 slots of the inquisitor shock resist armor (Mystery pattern), and i'm still getting stun locked every time I slip up (very rarely) and get hit with it. What's the point of wearing the armor then???
This is why I'm still save scumming with the game files to avoid wasting my time.
How are these people so incredibly bad at weapon balancing?
I usually wear half of a set of mystery or shadow and a half of something else to balance my resistances. Their armor is a phenomenal splash armor though (1-2 pieces worn).
