With repair kits only it seems, because i cant find a way either
+1 There should be a ship upgrade that repairs items to their max condition for "free" at the cost of time, there are never enough repair kits to maintain anything beyond the "essentials" at max condition, which then get trashed on the next mission anyways.
You have to left click on a repair material/kit (or right click and select repair), then drop it over the item you want to repair, like in the in-mission inventory.
Well with us being able to craft repair kits and whatever you're implying, i'm now less concerned about maintaining items being a grind :P
No.
(iv not seen the things myself, just seen people talk about it on discord) maybe they were making stuff up.
Functionally this change makes quasimorphic equipment kind of indirectly buffed since quasimorphic quick fixs only reduce max durability by 5 and are quickly stacked since breaking down every piece of quaismorphic equipment results in the same few repair items. It also makes Frank functionally a lot better as he has more durability to burn through.
To cope with this you can either craft more gear to replace stuff that's damaged, you can replace damaged gear with freshly looted gear, or you can slowly wear down equipment with max durability reducing repairs until eventually you can replace it.
If you've got a favorite piece of gear, you can use it until it breaks and then use a shard to fully repair it. Not a big deal aside from having to let the quasimorphis meter build up to whatever point shards start dropping. Shards are kind of rare, but I find them often enough that even with me using 1-2 per mission I could potentially take a few back to the ship if I was willing to drop a few barter items to make room for them. Actually just did a mission where a crossbow destroyed my frame helmet in one shot and I immediately fixed it with a shard.
