yeah pretty much this. items have a hidden value assigned to them. if you dont trade enough to reach over that hidden value, you have a 0% chance to get that item.
It is rather silly you cannot buy outright (at markup) the item you actually want from the markets. Keep the loot box rewards for cisson momplete, sure. But RNGesus is fun for only so long.
hi try to get some other chips too - the tunnel rats class is really cool :)
It makes no sense that I cannot trade with currency in an ANCAP system.
Or that the Civil Resistance wouldn't barter materials for materials and/or equipment, let alone hacked production chips to remove licencing protection.
I don't need ten pairs of level 1 pants, or 6,000 nails from the liberation front, all I wanted are the servo backpacks I cannot make myself, or some production chips, with literally 8+ items needed for me to equip my operative properly and do a conquest mission (Mag vest+full armor+2 weapons+drugs and meds+ammo 1+3+2+2 for sorbent+at least bandages+2 units of ammo=8) and the ability to only natively produce 1-3 of those items, it's a huge ask for an RNG gambling system that also has RNG on the items requested.
It makes me scavenge the enemies kit, which is fine but it makes the barter system effectively something you check to see if you won the lottery 'do they take what I have AND have what I want in stock today?' except it's also got the second layer of 'Alright I gave them what they want, now will they actually give what I want, or will I have to reroll the gacha for it?'
It's bad design.
People back then don't just barter 10 eggs for a chance of random ♥♥♥♥, they ask for what they want directly and try to match the offer.
I think you can now, i haven't played in a while but my brother that plays told me you can
barter should be fixed next I dont like having to spend so much time figuring out what's needed to bring along other than that i like the economy system
