Can't survive??????
I can't keep my clones alive. Once my clone dies all I can do is die after that. Any tips or suggestions to at least keep my characters alive a little longer?

Same thing happens to me. The one time I decide I'm going to stock up on meds so nothing happens, I dont even get hit once. On the way to elevator to evac and quasi happens and one *1* crossbow guy spawns. Run to door. Cant hit a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ button to open a door while running, so skip turn. Instead of targetting the dude literally beside the crossbow guy, he turns 38 degrees and shoots me once, ending the only run I had where I completed my mission and would've walked away with loot. They said they addressed this but jesus. I think this is the one game that I just have to throw the towel in for, because its just not fun to die over and over and over again. I genuinely have zero idea how people progress so far in this game without a save system. Every mission is just an RNG coinflip if my dudes going to die or not regardless of how well I play.

Do missions against Coreward if you can I guess. They have a bunch of slow guys with melee weapons with the occasional 2 move jackhammer guy (shoot them first). They also tend to fight with nailguns, which are easy for you to have enough pierce resist to render a joke, but in a pinch can replace the eagle pistol as your pierce damage option given Coreward tends to have bad pierce resist. Since they use a lot of slow melee guys, you can try to take one of their jackhammers or wrenches and use the 3 AP option to attack twice and then use your last AP to move out of range, they will never get to attack and you won't make noise or waste ammo shooting.

Tectzlan can be scary, but they are also pretty easy to counter. Their armor tends to lack pierce resist and they tend to do mostly cold damage, mixed in with the occasional poison damage spider. If you bring enough ammo they can be almost as easy as Coreward, however they are very resistant to their own Igvas weapons and a Serpents Mouth can still oneshot you on a crit even with about 20 cold resist. The Igvas spitter is a joke though, even with no cold resist.

I'm try not to be rude, Just asking a question.
Do you know about insurance emergency case? The one that give you for free after you die so you can dissemble it for starting gear.

I do, but the guns are jokes with how little damage they put out.

Ok, then my tips are
- Try fighting weak Corp. they got weaker armor but sometime you can find good thing to keep after mission. The Corp you should avoid are Ancom, RealWear, SBN, Tzeclan
- there are trick to cheese in late game if you want a powerful gear fast try fight RealWear or Ancom on Quasimorph planet (Except Venus) bring a lots of Guns(4Gun at minimal) and bullet type that they weak then just spam eating human meat to hit 999 meters and spawn Barons, All other enemy will spontaneous combust became quasimorph which easier to kill when you bring a lots of bullet type they weak, After kill Baron they will all gone and you can shopping on every equipment enemy drop.

They are indeed pretty bad but if you got better crafting options you can dismantle them for parts. If you don't, the knife can at least let you kill any slow melee enemy without taking injury or using ammo. The Eagle pistol also lets you do pierce damage which is less resisted than blunt.

It can be kind of helpful to consider quasimorphs weaknesses as they tend to be both more extreme and more worth bringing a counter for given they show up in every mission on a planet unless you bring plenty of drugs to prevent them from spawning.

Moon quasimorphs do mostly high pierce damage and is weak to cut and fire damage. Baron is almost immune to blunt as well but is a slow move melee enemy. Average about 20 blunt and pierce resist and are nearly immune to poison. They don't have enough pierce resist to survive their own ranged weapons for the most part. Their ranged quasimorphs drop some of the best loot in the game, high damage low durability nail shooters and nails with 100% crit rate that spoil unless loaded into something.

Venus/Tecztlan quasimorphs do mostly cold damage with spiders doing poison, and are weak to pierce. Baron does ranged cold damage and is probably the most difficult to fight.

I rarely fight in Mercury so I forgot their strength's and weaknesses, but if I recall correctly, the baron there has 90 flame resist, but I've still managed to kill them by stunning them and locking them in a room after hitting them with the flamethrower (I was phoenix brigade class). A common quasimorph there does poison damage upon death and they have a ranged quasimorph with a 1 ammo staff that does like 100 damage. They also drop cold damage grenades a lot that spoil unless loaded into a grenade launcher (the only use I've found for one) but I can't remember if they actually throw them at you.

Don't worry about Mars.
