Also when all ppl is dead, the boss will go straight to u
So I prefer that when it is going to reach to max phase:
Get in to a layer which is clear
Stay in the end of a tunnel
Or a room with only one door
To let the demon comming in only one way
And use "Jeffhammer" shortgun finish them
If they get in though a door
They should be lining up
And use a shortgun fire in auto
U would kill them in a easy way
I killed a lot of them
And still dont find a demon boss can survival on that shortgun
Jeffhammer is very suitable to kill demon
I know, I know sounds crazy, but true.
Forget Jeffhammer and grenades, quaimorphosis can help you to nuke whole levels all for the cheap cheap price of killing baron 1v1 (fairly easy if you're not being stupid)
So let me break it down for you something I call quasinuking
1)clear the whole floor (make sure you're the only one on the floor) and go to the elevator.
2)raise your Q-level to the max (you know you succeeded when baron greats you). Easiest way is cannibalism
3)visit next level for one turn. All normal enemies will pop open and get replaced by qmorphs
4)go back and fight Baron.
5)once Baron is dead Qlevel will drop to 0.
6)go to next level that you visited in step3. Due to your Qlevel being extremely low, qmorphs will despawn in couple turns
7)Now you have almost empty level all for yourself, explore&loot. Said "almost" being ocasional robot and turret
8)if you need to go deeper, jump back to step2 and repeat.
So learn to stop worry and love the quasimorphosis :)
U have to keep a short gun
Becuz u cant fight the Baron by fist right?
Should you eat some raw/cooked flesh at your current, cleared elevation to spawn the boss, and only have to deal with a few summoned adds?
OR
Do you have enough Q-level reducing items (morphine/cigarettes) to maintain a low enough Q-level to allow you to clear most of the next story/elevation?
2. Inevitably, you will trigger a baron.
I believe it appears somewhere farther from the elevator, like, in the "depths" of that particular level layout. Because of this, it can take a long while for it to get to you, and it seems to summon adds from it's location (those hounds, and that larger, bipedal quasimorph with spikes on it's back).
The adds will track you down from the baron's location. So what I do, is try to follow the source of the adds to the baron, and usually end up meeting it somewhere halfway through the level. This can be difficult to do safely, so I sneak for a tile or two every time i'm about to go around a corner or through a doorway to avoid getting unexpectedly mauled --or shot by Xiomara.
Keep in mind that the tougher quasimorphs tend to drop very helpful items, like the idol, the crystal that repairs items, and the eye.
If the issue is that you can't kill the adds fast enough (they're able to get in melee range of you, which you shouldn't be allowing them to do), then you should make sure you've always got a healthy shotgun with lots of ammo ready.
I always, ALWAYS take a Taiga shotgun with me and at least two stacks of ammo for it (cut). I don't use the Jeffhammer only because I find that it's 4th shot is both unnecessary and only serves to drain durability more.
(This may have been changed recently as the wiki appears to say Jeffhammer only has 3 shots now?)
I try to conserve the shotgun and it's ammo until things start to get dicey. It's great vs those hounds and eques (and barons) at high Q-level moments.
Just make sure not to rely on the shotguns (with cut ammo) as much when you're on Venus, or it's orbit, as the Venutians often have highly cut-resistant armor.
I try to accumulate the Mantis submachine guns where I can (and their relevant pierce ammo) to use on the armored Venutians.
Oh that's interesting, I didn't know that happens --I always cured it whenever I happened to get it lol
btw how did you cure it, with another gavvakh?
Now that's playing smarter, not harder!
