Tezctlan and new player help
I had heard that if you dont go after them they expand and become hard to control.

Is this the case?

If yes when should i try to fight them because my success rate fighting them isnt very high atm.

What should i have when facing them? ive noticed their dmg types are all over the place.

Any beginner tips such as what factions to help and prioritize or anything else?

nah dont worry if you just choose to focus on doing mission for other companies tezclan wont matter much in the long run, with the exception of conquest mission that is when the company take over control of certain area of the planet so u can help them with that to help them grow in tech and power. What you really should focus on instead is which armor or weapon type you want to pursuit, since some stuff u can only get when u boost the company tech as high as possible and you have to raise your reputation with them before they even give u a chance it get it from trading. Here you can see i knock them down to 5th place https://imgur.com/f7JJdxy , u need to grow your merc stronger with gears before u can even have the privilege of deciding who to support or not so for starting out just focus on grow your merc skill lv and getting better gears.

just in case you do have to fight teztclan, their guns usually fire Cold ammo, so having some cold resistance is helpful. (but they can still have powerful melee weapons, or even some specials which might use piercing i think like a crossbow that fires nails but you dont want to get hit by that even with armour) :)

also, once you start fighting textclan, it can be hard to get on good terms with them again quickly, so you might want to trade with them first and then attack them, (although one of my friends mentioned that if they get taken over, you can still trade at that location, just with a new owner so doesnt sound as bad as i thought)

well the crossbow by it self would'nt be so much of a prolem but its the damn ammo nails of pain 100% crit 100% pierce chance so what ever armor u got say bye bye dev were definitely high on crack when they made some of these bs stuff, oh and in case u planning to use it the ammo have a decay time if it not loaded in the crossbow so u can't save to use later, tho i had fun time make a boss turn into a meat pile when i got 2 of these drop on a run with some of their ammo to spare on Jacques Kennet she reduce the reload duration by -2

ah nice going using it, i dont have that character yet, but when i do, im going to try a build using that one, and the vest which reduces reload times as well to be able to reload an industrial Builder nailgun in like 1 second or something :)

for the decay time, yeah i can kind of see how it can speed up the overall gameplay if the focus is on using "specials" mostly in the current mission, and then anything damaged gets fully fixed ready for the next mission,
but
me being me, i kind of always liked the idea of each item having a permanently tracked individual durability value, which always remains in the condition that it is. (so that we have to actually spend "something" like time or effort or resources, to "restore" things, and micromanage tons of stuff, but i just like micro managing everything :)

(even in stellaris, i never give each planet or colony an A,I governor, i prefer doing all that myself :)

but maybe in future (or with mods etc) there can be a way to have a much slower decay timer, so that at least if you extract with say 5 special Nails Of Pain, then you can at least keep them for a week or something before they vanish or turn into "trash" :)

yeh im using her with ghostborn ghost class benefit from using last clip and just giving her the long as hell to load single ammo weapon like the staff, the cross bow, and the shawn off shotgun, her character bonus together with the veteran vest give it wooping - 4 reloading time

whelp ive found my answer to tez. bring laser weapons. annihilates em
pgames-food Dec 11, 2023 @ 7:02pm
ah if you like laser guns, if you ever see an item called "the wire", try to grab as many as you can because they are used in making energy ammo / batteries :) (its quite rare, but you can also get a bit of glass and acid by dismantling a green chemical ammo)

and the church of revelation can be your friend, i think they gave me the most batteries ammo before :)
