If you do see one, take NO chances with them. Thankfully, they're easy to kill.
On the positive note, if you do kill them and acquire their crossbow and ammo, you can 1 shot anything outside of some particularly tanky enemies. Do mind the reload however.
Also going to bet that you died to a skill issue, mainly in not paying attention to your surroundings.
Same here, just wtf ?
You kill a guy, he becomes a monster and suprise MF, i got one tap with a lazer from star wars........
My run was perfect and this sh!t happened.. No joke it's a really bad trip
Lasers do more than just thermal damage you have hardly any fire and cold resistances.
So you are pretty much an easy kill. Since your pain threshold sucks and going above it kills you instantly.
Another factor is you can tire your character out of nowhere which will also kill you. There is no way to know if you're character is exhausted or fatigued.
laser and plasma weapons are more likely to one shot you.
Same with Q weaponry there is no balance of damage resistances against these weapons
This is why certain people shouldn't make games.. I know a lot of steam users don't trust games created by russians sadly ..yeah this is one of the many reasons why..
Use dodge build on enemies with freezing wearpons.
Use flashbangs on serious opponent, it always works.
Inspect your enemies before rushing in, dont underestamate them.
Simply get good, all game is about it.
When you loose limb - pray for the chip and leave.
(the first 1 i did, i made a mistake and lost my best gear including a super cool grenade launcher :) but then i tried it again using low quality gear (upgrading it with whatever i could find during the mission), and killed about 120 enemies including some special (but not barron) q monsters.
its definitely possible (and of course some events can make you lose too) but a lot of it can be mitigated by watching your 6 (and with headphones its a bit easier to hear the door's opening or closing, which can also let you know that someone is nearby, especially if you are in running mode or not going stealthy.
as for the person that got you (@op) i think it could have been a ColNode civil resistance guy with a plasma laser gun but not sure :) just try again and pop into crouch mode here and there, or check your 6 with a right-click when the mouse is facing in the direction you want to look at, and looking around is free in terms of actions.
Absolutely never ever reveal anything as a turn ending move, boom, done, never die to that sorta stuff again, until they randomly act on your turn but that's a bug. You normally have better view range than enemies do, unless you're sporting a headwound, then it might be more equal, being shot from outside of your vision radius is pretty alien to me, unless they were to the side (hidden by a corner or just, player character not facing the right direction, turning in place is free (right click on a tile), so not fully clearing a room and being shot in the back of the head is 100% a skill issue)
Also you sound like you're using sneak to engage, stop using sneak to engage, move through unexplored rooms or round corners, it's dumb and it's asking to be perforated by anyone just sitting there, twiddling their thumbs waiting to be shot themselves, just open the door with it (so it's a free and game-wise, instantaneous action) and swap to walking, then *don't*, spend both action points shoving yourself into the fatal funnel with no out till next turn, wait in place if you have to, you could also run to reliably facecheck, but that will eat into your calories pretty hard and you can't know for sure how much food you're gonna have on hand, either way, learn the dance, or fall on the floor.
There is no amount of Good you can Get when something kills you immediately from full health and well armoured, with no chance to do anything about it.
so when i finally found them (while sneaking around i might add, and still didn't get an indication for them) they just flamer me and i'm instantly dead
Dying to opening doors is one thing but i factaully couldn't ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ see in the dark and the instant i heard them move, i got toasted and died
Its not really, turn ending move, boom, done. The room was revealed, and the mob entered from a door outside of the field of view and i got killed outside of field of view so i your argument isn´t really valid at that point. Also i was in fight and did not sneak, and if i sneaked it would still be the same problem so bringing that up doesn´t add anything but misinformation to the discussion and a still not a good solution.
