can destroyed fuel barrels prevent floor item pickup?

hi can i check if the tile where a fuel barrel is destroyed, but later you walk there and drop an item, will it prevent pickup after some time?

i'll have to re-load my save and try again but just wondering if it was a known bug?

Not the fuel barrel itself exploding, but fire will burn and destroy most items on the floor. This includes important items such as mind, class, and item chips. There are a few prominent exceptions but you will have to do some trial-and-error discovery for the most part.

ah hi, thanks for that info,

in my particular case, i had shot at and exploded a barrel, which turned its tile into a piece of barrel debris :) but when picking up nearby items i dropped some on the floor (onto the debris tile of the actual barrel where it was before), but later on i cant seem to click on the floor items icon, it just makes a "ding" sound (as though you were trying to access inventory while running, or as though you were trying to swap weapons while reloading) :)

so i have been unable to pick up "some" items from those tiles, in 2 places now. (am not even sure what the items were as cant click on them to soo :)
