Quasimorph

Saving your progress
For those who don't like to loose several hours of playing together with good arms and armor due to death on a mission, you can copy your save files (DAT files and PNG file) from this directory into other folder as a backup before playing game:
C:\Users\user\AppData\LocalLow\Magnum Scriptum Ltd\Quasimorph
If you die you can change files back and play from your last save.

Why do people do this? Item chips ARE your progress, they are the entire point of this game. You unlock the ability to print gear en masse, even if only to trade it for stuff you do want. If you find an item chip and it's super good or the mission looks spotty, just evac and hoard the other ♥♥♥♥. You don't NEED to do this, a naked clone can literally walk out of the shuttle and there be a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Glory helmet chip or Dragon's Breath chip right in front of you. Hell, if it's a Dataminer chip, you've won. You get the materials from literally everything. Stop ruining the fun for yourselves.
The fun for him is going into a mission with high tech gear and then winning, so he's not ruining it for himself.

And now we can see total difference between our POV on what fun is. I'm not here to play unhappy farm, I'm here to "kick ass and chew bubblegum".
Also, my advise was for those who complain about one-hit-kill mechanic.

Except it's not. It's a singleplayer game, Play how you want. If you don't like permadeath, don't play that way. It really is that simple.

Why do some people always care, how others want to play a game?

yea bro im feeling real progress with my 20 fodder data chips of impactor armor and crash shotguns, at least last update you could barter these chips and maybe get something in return for them. Now theyre just garbage that you cant even disassemble.

Also you can use the trick mentioned by the op on peaceful stations so that you can roll for better items if the items they gave you suck.

I salute you for this solution. The game doesn't act "unfair", the game doesn't act "hardcore" - it's straight up rng ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, it's not giving you any kind of enjoyment, we live in the year of 2024 and we don't have normal saves. There should be an option, but there isn't any. But thanks for your solution - there can be enjoyment ( or sort of ). It won't save you from the ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up madness, but at least you can keep your progress.
Thanks for that, king  :leaSmug:

Dying is a part of the game btw. But if all you want is to mindlessly shoot space hobos, you can just alt+f4 the second you die to go back to your last "checkpoint"
Thank you!
