TAA and jagged edges
Some solution for the terrible jagged edges generated from the TAA ?

somebody found the FSR 2.0 on quality helps but im afraid it will make some visuals worse in the cutscenes..

I think is mainly cause by some low res texture/reflection and bad TAA integration..

the aliasing in this game's engine overall is just not that great. to get the best quality, you'll have to set the aliasing to "default" and use your AMD or Nvidia graphics settings to make the game use your gpu for aliasing and supersampling. I did that, and added amd Fsr 2.0 and the game looks great. the only thing that still hasn't changed are the specific dialogue sections where it shows the janky close-ups of characters faces, the hair on those sections is still pixelated, but all other sections of cutscenes and gameplay are crisp and smooth

Yeah im trying right now to force the internal rendering to 4k (while playing on a 1440p monitor) then ive added the FSR to reach 60fps and looks better.

Which settings should I tamper with to get a decent visual quality with an old GTX 1070?

I finished the previous game running on ultra @ 1080p smoothly and the game looked very good, but now this game is blurry and very ugly in comparison.

In your Nvidia Control Panel, under the "Manage 3D settings" section; just max out the Anisotropic filtering, change the "anti-aliasing-mode" to Enhance application setting, and then max out the anti-aliasing setting right under that. make sure you hit the Apply button in the corner when your done with those settings. and also MAKE SURE you have set the game's settings for the antialiasing to be "default" before you change your settings in Nvidia. and turn off any upscaling settings you have on in the game as well.

Set Antialising to "Custom"
That uses FSR2 Native AA. Should look amazing. Specially at high resolutions.
