When you start a game, look for warame and at least 2 of a dragon tile, east wind, or the wind for your seat. If you don't get that, immediately leave and reenter the game. You'll get a good starting game about 5-10% of the time.
Call pons and tsumos as often as possible. I know normal advice says you should keep your hand concealed for more points, but you're just trying to get 1 point, not maximum points. Like normal, try to get pairs and consecutive tiles so you'll have more opportunities for pons and tsumos.
The goal is to get 1 yaku from 3 dragons or 3 winds. It took me 4 actual games to get a win like this, but I had to restart about 50 times, took me about 20 minutes.
wtf are you talking about, just chii pon till you get tanyao, no need for dragons or winds.
