I'm playing it now on the deck and it's working with no issue. My main concern were the controls but it seems to be functioning normally.

Edit: just finished the tutorial, animations run smooth and no issues with the controls.

so it works fine. Just because it's not verified to work on the deck doesn't mean it won't work. no issues so far and i'll probably take a crack at it tonight.

no but i'm going to assume the first time you launch the game it would need to be connected so your copy can be registered. That i'm not 100% about but i know most big games have that built in.

Works great on the deck at medium settings. I recommend locking the display at 40 fps to minimize the frame stutter as it chops around a bit between 40-60 fps. This will also double the battery life.
