Mod / Community Patch
I have spent more than a hundred hours making a mod for Crossfire which fixes bugs and adds a lot of improvements, without altering the core gameplay. kinda like a community patch.
The list of improvements is HUGE, and the only downside of using this mod is that you cant earn achievements while the mod is active. (achievements are broken anyway).

Deleting local content, whether by Steam or using Add/remove programs in program manager leaves remnants which keep whatever mods & saved games on your computer. I had to delete every Crossfire file that was left on my computer, then install XF again to get the vanilla version. Now I'll try Killatamate's Rebalance mod. I hope this info will help others who had similar problems w/ uninstalling mods.

Killatomate, does the Vintorez silenced sniper rifle use plain 9mm ammo? I haven't had one drop yet. IIRC, you used to need special ammo for it (9mm/39?) I can buy the rifle at Bobby Ray's but it just says 9mm. What up?
P.S. Your mod is running just fine. BTW,Dodo's boxes were where they were supposed to be. :)

yes, but due to increased base damage it punches through armor better than the other 9mm weapons

no. the mods are incompatible and cannot be merged.

Is there a way to use the mod for fixing quest only? I want to play vanilla first then hit your mod second playthrough if possible.

Oh, and THANK YOU for this mod

i wouldnt play Crossfire without the mod. There is about 30% chance that the main quest breaks and you will be unable to complete the game.
The gameplay differences between the unmodded and modded version are small. The main difference is that the modded version is much less frustrating. its not like you are missing out on anything by playing the modded version.

If you want to play vanilla anyway, make sure that RING and SCEPTER spawn on the first maps (google the locations), otherwise you will have to restart the campaign.

Hi mate. I have a question about your mode. Does it fix "wandering militia bug"? Closer about the bug here http://steamcommunity.com/app/205810/discussions/0/864951657859493395/
I find out this game very good except the load of AI/system bugs which - unfortunately - leads to turn off the game without finishing it. If these bugs will be fixed, its a great game with great concept. Its pitty that developers obviously has no intention to finsh/fix/improve the game they did... I can imagine a lot of great DLCs/new campaigns to this game...

i have never experienced nor heard of that bug. it unlikely that my mod includes a fix.

Hey Killatomate

I was wondering if you have tried Jagged Alliance Flashback yet and if so what did you think of it?.
Kniescheibe Dec 29, 2014 @ 8:16pm

Just for info - it has happened again... when I conquer military base and than give a gun even to a singla militia anywhere, than in the strategic map, this milita goes to the enemy main temple, it has a green colour but is marked as an enemy squad, than return to its start position and stay there for the rest of the game...and from now on, there are no more enemy squads arising and attacking your locations....

Does the mod fix the achievements and quests that doesn't work?
