are the four DLCs for this game free now?
The base game is free and I saw these add-ons but there's no price. Usually it will say free if they are and you can add them, or maybe you need to install them from in-game?

EQ (and a lot of it's expansions) pre-dates Steam by a decade or so.

EQ has always included all previous expansions in the purchase of their newest one. That can much with Steam trying to have DLCs.

EQ also, when it went F2P as it's base game, released all but the most recent few expansions as free content and continues to release them free on roughly the same schedule that it releases paid expansions.

All but the most recent 2 expansions are free now and that's roughly how they maintain the free content. A few months or so after a new expansion is released they open the now 3rd most recent expansion as free content. This also mucks with the Steam DLCs.

I highly recommend just using the in game store / Daybreak website for purchases. They link to your Steam account there and you can use your Steam wallet I believe.

The 4 listed DLC are all free content now I believe. There shouldn't be any special download for them, they'll just be included in the main game download.

No they are about the same age though. Steam back then wasn't like it is now though,it was even worse. Then it went away for a few years and returned as something closer to what it is now.

So, since EQ was in no way associated with whatever you're claiming that original Steam was, and that Steam went away and was replaced with this version of Steam which EQ was still not associated with in any way for quite some time, EQ (and a lot of it's expansions) pre-dates Steam by a decade or so.

Thank you for (not) helping to clarify the issue and (not) helping to answer the OPs question.

EQ debuted in 1999, Steam in 2003, expanding to non-Valve titles in 2005, for reference.

I wish I kept up on launchers and stuff back then I prob missed out on hundreds of -100% games as promos just like I did with EG more recently
