Actually, the first video I saw of actual gameplay raised my hopes because it reminded me of Vanguard SOH so much. :)
I have to admit that at a push I could give money to it but having been burnt too many times with EA, etc. plus his previous history, I too will wait and see.
Have high hopes and we all need a decent old-school MMO nowadays.
I found it hard to believe that even on a O/C i5-6600K 4.5Ghz, 16Gb RAM and an O/C GTX970 you still get that terrible popping in of NPCs and half are them are black until you get close. Something is wrong with their game engine and even with people posting how it puts them off the developers do nothing to fix it.
Use to play EQ2 major and a little EQ1. Getting back into EQ1 (All that content and old-style play plus slightly updated graphics) but EQ2 is so pass it's sell buy date it is crazy. For someone that considered EQ2 the best at one point I cannot even force myself to play it now and that includes a ton of L95+ toons.
Is this going to be Daybreak's trademark for the future.
What are the populations and guilds like now?
I stopped playing about 18 months ago but prior to that I noticed even the good guilds were losing people badly and the general population was in decline. Tried it one Friday evening about nine months ago and all the major cites amd L90 zones were virtually empty.
Next to SWG, EQ2 had some of best guilds I belonged to. Miss those days.
And the link to that statement by Daybreak?
Being an old SWG/EQ1/EQ2 player since it came out I am curious where you hear that kind of statement unless you are just quoting some hotheads on the forum.
