Don't waste your money - permanent bans for no reason for paying customers
Banned for 'third party software' when all I had running was EQ2(through steam), Discord, Spotify Desktop App, Brave Internet Browser and Avast AntiVirus. Don't waste your money on this company folks.

Considering ive seen literally over 50 differents people actually use illegal and unfair 3rd party program to track stuff in various EQ TLP servers and never having any issues I'm finding it it really hard to believe they would ban someone for nothing.

EQ has more players than they know what to do with. of course they ban people for no reason. I mean thats how you stay in business you kick customers out of your store (FOR NO REASON), or ban them from your game (FOR NO REASON), or deny them entry to your movie theater. (FOR NO REASON). Its Business 101.

ODE TO PLAYERS LOST (for no reason!)...

upon the icy depths of Velious I strode,
to the barren peaks of Kunark I rode,
under the still waters of Dagnors Caldron I did wade,
but the game, it forbade!

and then, whence-forth i was banned,
FOR NO REASON!

no case upon my bony hide was made,
simply put, i was forbade,
and perchance this dreary night,
i was no more...
FOR NO REASON!!

EQ has more players than it is capable of supporting with modern tools and/or staff so it has to resort to all or nothing scripts and little to no transparency.

I flunked out of school at "Keeping Your Sinking Business Afloat 101."
But, I wrote some poetry before flunking out, how you likes?
Oh, and for the record, "EQ has more players than they know what to do with." was sarcasm. Its from 1999, we are lucky it is still supported in any capactiy,

I once got suspended even though I did nothing wrong.
Way back in the year 2000, Velious was the most recent expanision and I had allied faction with the giants of Kael. I remember I was in Kael at the bank when some guild showed up to raid the king and I was the only person in the zone who wasn’t in the guild.
I wasn’t anywhere around them and I think I was organizing my inventory in the bank when all of a sudden my screen lit up with shouts and ooc’s saying i’m reported for training them and wiping their raid.
I was confused at first then started saying things like, Apparently your raid failed and you’re trying to blame me so your guild won’t look look like it sucks at raiding?
Suddenly, I was teleported to another zone with a message from a GM saying a warning has been put on my account for training them.
This angered me and I petitioned saying they were lying, but the GM replied with some generic message about the warning stands and won’t be removed.
I petitioned again and I think was then given a day or week suspension for abusing the petition system.
When I got back on, I petitioned about it again hoping for a different GM only to be told by the same GM “You probably hacked that account and we can see all the IP addresses that use an account” he then temp banned me again for a day.
This enraged me since it was my account and had only played it from one computer and from the same location.
I found some place on their website where I could report GMs for missconduct and I reported the guy and explained everything.
I never heard anything back from the report, but I never saw the GM again either.

Don't use the Steam launcher. Use the Official launcher like 99.9% of people.
Problem solved. Don't be the 0.1%

Every time I have been suspended from EQ it was for good reason! Each suspension lasted from 7-10 days.

Permanent bans are rare and typically reserved for either repeat offenders or grave offenders.

"But officer I didn't do it I swear! I'm innocent!"

Out of context quote.

Leading up to this moment, the officer arrested the suspect because they committed a "crime". When asked what crime was committed, the officer replied they could not tell them what crime it was because other criminals were watching and may do the same!

Before replying with a bad snarky response, try actually reading a bit.

cool story. here is mine, been playing since 1999....since then I never was banned. None of my many friends who played or still play...never banned.

take that however you want.

/enjoy.

I vaguely remember a story from 1999 when a GM or the lead GM was fired because he was giving his land lord free items in game instead of paying for rent.

I think it’s strange that so many people have blind faith in GMs and moderators and can’t imagine anyone ever being unfairly banned.

Yes, Tyvolus, we already know your story. You've made that clear in pretty much every post you've made despite what you are replying to. You are the model EQ player and since a thing never happened to you or, whatever you meant by your last sentence, then everyone else must be terrible people and breaking all sorts of rules.

lol no man, not at all. However I am fairly entertained at how much weight you think playing the same game for 24 years adds to your argument. If you can call it an argument. Not sure if at this point if you just want people to know how attached you are to the game or you really believe in what you are saying.
