Anyway to make EQ stop crashing in Full Screen?
Anyone know of any way to stop EQ from crashing every time something on the computer makes the game flip to desktop. If any notation pops in windows 10, then EQ crashes.

Anyone know of this bug, and would like to share how you stop going out of Fullscreen mode.
Thanks

Edit:
Thanks AcidT for the fix!!

Solution:
Edit the file "Eqclient.ini".
[VideoMode]
Width=1920
Height=1080
WindowedWidth=1600
WindowedHeight=1200
FullscreenRefreshRate=100 <---------------(dont use higher). Check that your GPU isn't running at 99. Then put 99 and not 100
FullscreenBitsPerPixel=32

This did tons of good. EQ does not pop out anymore for Win 10 things. Bloody Discord app keeps doing it.

I get the bug were if i log out the game freezes, even if the game is closed it's still frozen on my screen. Eq2 is jsut as bad, I log out and it still continues to run in the background.

modify your config to be windowed, the game doesnt work so well in full screen.

Also find the executable and right click it for properties, and at the bottom uncheck the DPI option for forced aspect.. should fix some of the issues, but probably not all

Perhaps it is an idea to share your computer specs and perhaps other applications that are running at the same time.

I have noticed that since February/March Microsoft anti-virus in windows 10 is causing major problems for many games that are easily solved by disabling real-time scanning before starting the game.
(Don't forget to turn it on afterwards).

Other than that i have not experienced the same issue as described here with this game.
I am running a i7 6700K with 16Gb memory.and an NVidea GTX1080 as GPU. Storage is NVME.

Yep, I'm guessing it's the old ResetDevice() = 0 error, and syncing the refresh rate fixes that.

That said, full screen exclusive is abominable. I suggest windowed mode to avoid headaches. You can mess with the ini settings to size the window boarders off screen if you need to.
