"LaunchPad was unable to connect."
Just downloaded it and got the message, "LanchPad was unable to connect". My connection is fine. Any ideas?

they are doing a patch and server maintenance. it's just not back up yet

This is a persistant problem. Effect EQ2 as well. Not fixed yet.

Agreed - this has been going on for months in Steam, I've never been able to connect.

Fixed it. Right-clicked properties > local files > verify integrity. It found 700-something files that needed to be replaced, and now the launcher works.

Oh another thing. If for what ever reason you are using a older OS like XP or Vista. ( You will get a error like what the OP had but its for this reason and not due to patches/maint ) It will no longer work with EQ due to changes made to the launcher. So you will need Windows 7 or higher.

I found that out when I tried it on my other machine ( that still has vista on it )
